Basketball season is among us! With the football season coming to a close in just a few weeks, basketball has begun and the T-birds are ready for a great season.

Men's Basketball

The SUU men's basketball team was recently picked fourth by coaches in the 2019-20 Big Sky Preseason Men's Basketball Polls. This is so far the highest that the T-birds have been ranked in this poll. Based on their home opener game, they should have been ranked higher. The T-birds swept Bethesda University 110-66. Having opened the season with a bang, students will hopefully be more likely to attend basketball games. Our goal is to reach 500 students at every mens basketball game. Next, the T-birds will face the Nebraska Cornhuskers in an away game. There may be a watch party to support the team while they're away, stay tuned!

Women's Basketball

The lady T-birds also had a successful start to their season. They took down CSU Fullerton with an overall score of 79-63. The basketball season here at SUU is looking promising so far, and we hope to reach at least 300 at every women's game this season. The T-birds take on the Utah Valley Wolverines this Saturday in Orem, Utah. Stay tuned for results of the game!

Show your school spirit by supporting our sports teams when they play at home, but show out for their away games as well. Be sure to come to the last home football game next Saturday, November 16 as the T-birds take on Northern Arizona University. The theme for the game and tailgate is "Red Out." Come to the game decked out in SUU gear and red clothing to show your school spirit for the last time this season on the football field. See you there!
